Hypnosis has been defined a state of focused attention and receptiveness. It is a naturally occurring state which we enter many times throughout the day. The conscious mind containing all of our busy thoughts enters a relaxed, neutral state. The subconscious mind containing all of our emotions and beliefs becomes very receptive to suggestion. The positive images, thoughts and feelings we experience during hypnosis become embedded in our mind enabling us to manifest the positive changes easily.
Does it really work?
Hypnosis feels extraordinarily relaxing, as if you have just had a wonderful sleep. Some people experience a pleasant heaviness while others may feel light and tingly. Still many people do not experience any changes at all. The truth is that it doesn’t make a difference; we are all individuals and there is no right or wrong way to experience hypnosis. You will emerge from the hypnosis feeling wonderfully relaxed and refreshed. |
What does it feel like?
Hypnosis is effective in helping people make positive and lasting changes. Hypnotic suggestions, or affirmations, are received and accepted by the subconscious mind by bypassing the critical factor of the conscious mind. You will notice the shifts in thought and behavior easily – without conscious effort on your part. Can everyone be hypnotized?
Most people can easily be hypnotized. The ability to enter a state of hypnosis can be increased with practice. The most important criteria is the desire to make the intended changes. Can you really do your own self-hypnosis?
Most hypnotists will tell you that all hypnosis is self-hypnosis. Your body and mind can be trained to make the positive changes you wish. The mind is exceptionally powerful. Sometimes, our negative, self limiting beliefs get in the way of living our happiest and most fulfilling lives. When we can get our mind to work for us instead of against us, the potential is great for making the changes we wish. Self-hypnosis is the way to achieve this goal. |
